Stephen Pfeiffer


Contact me


Stephen Pfeiffer joined Step Safe in 2007 and currently serves as Treasurer of Step Safe Australia.  Stephen’s involvement with the humanitarian sector began when he attended a landmine summit conference in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2004. He also provides ongoing support to the Providence Children's Centre in Battambang (NW Cambodia) for their English language program.

Stephen has been an English, History and Geography high school teacher in both the public and private systems since 2006. In 2008, he served as an executive member of the New South Wales History Teachers’ Association. He is a published author on history curriculum development in Australia, promoting Asian history in the classroom, with a particular passion for Cambodian history during the Angkor period.

Stephen is an enthusiast of extra-curricular activities, including (in no particular order) latin dancing, stage acting, football (soccer), karaoke, surfing, travelling the globe, and reading history.

Stephen currently lives in Sydney, Australia,  where he teaches English in a public high school.
