Our Team

Karen Batchelder joined Step Safe in 2008.  After 20 years as an investment banker, Karen took a year off to travel and dedicate herself to her responsibilities in several nonprofit organizations.

She has 20 years of experience in the financial/capital markets.  Her responsibilities have included managing and leading a team of bankers to generate new business opportunities and execute transactions for corporate clients.  She has developed a deep knowledge of the financial markets, financial statement analysis, budgeting, capital planning and business plan preparation.  She also has substantial transaction experience in executing private placements of debt and equity securities for corporate clients in a broad range of industries.

Karen has a passion for travel, food, wine and sport.  Whether exploring new countries, cultures, or when she isn’t traveling, Karen can be found in the yoga studio, on her bicycle, or in a kayak.
